South of the border...

Wow! I can hardly believe it has already been over two months since I came back to Mazatlan, time really flies! Sorry for not writing an update any sooner, I wrote one but it got deleted, so I felt like I wrote one but I actually didn't. So how is one to sum up the last ten weeks without writing too much or too little? Well let's give it a shot!

When I first got back it was super weird, definitely in a good way but I could hardly believe I was back. It felt a little overwhelming to be suddenly thrown back into this familiar but completely different atmosphere with a lot more responsibility and things to keep track of and manage. We had weeks of Staff training and then the Discipleship Training School students came and that's when the responsibility actually came because on top of everything else that was going on we had to get to know 14 new people at once and take them under our wings. It really has been a great experience being staff for this DTS, I feel like a parent most of the time, growing in patience and caring, being proud of them, frustrated with them, but over all loving them and being excited for their future, and trying to be there for them as much as possible. This has actually made me want to be a parent even more, even though I'm sure parenting is difficult and not to be taken lightly, I know it is a blessing from the Lord that I so badly want to have! It's so exciting to see God move in their life and speak to them and they see God doing it too, they get so excited, their reaction is priceless! It is something else to witness lives being transformed before your eyes, to see God redeeming and giving back what was stolen from them by Satan so long ago. This school definitely has a long way to go (and so do I) they need a lot of nurturing and guidance but they have so much potential it astounds me!

In just six short weeks, we are leaving on outreach for two months. Me and another DTS staff member Montse, are leading a team through southern Mexico, to Mexico city, Oaxaca, Tabasco, and possibly Chiapas. We will have seven students, and with us our team will total nine. Please be praying that the students recieve vision and a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading because that is what we want for them, doing the Father's will and making it a lifestyle for them. For Montse and I you can pray that we will have wisdom and discernment when leading these students. Also that they would respect our authority because we are both girls who are 21 years old, leading students who are barely younger than us and some who are older than us. Also I need your prayers for finances for outreach, I need about $1500 USD by December 3rd and so far I don't have anything more than my living expenses because I had to use my savings for immigration fees and our trip to Guadalajara last week. Please pray and let me know how you can help me out with outreach, and please please please let me know how i can be praying for you! I seriously want to, and I am already but I want my prayers to be more specific so they can be more effective!

Thank you so much, you really are a blessing to my life!

Love, Tasha
