2nd and 3rd Day

So yesterday after lunch we decided to go to the beach and go boogie boarding. we went to a beach that is a little farther from our base than the other one is but is much nicer. The water was just barely cooler than the air which made it nice when we were waiting in between good waves, it wasn't freezing like it usually is in California. So we caught about 10 pretty decent waves total and then it kinda just died out so we decided to go back to the base. but when we got there we decided to go check out the tide pools again for a little bit. we finally get back, rinse off and then about a minute later they call us for dinner...yes...i was soaking wet! after dinner we all went over to Josh and Kayla's (married leaders who live away from the base) and had a game night which was pretty fun! we come back exhausted and ready for bed.

Today i got the chance to start reading one of the required books that we need to read during our lecture phase and it's an awesome book! It's by Loren Cunningham who started YWAM and it is better than i thought. It is very interesting to read about his heart and his calling to preach the gospel from such a young age and the whole progression of him obeying God and also not obeying him right away. it's a really cool book, anyways i read up until lunch and then after lunch we decided to go long boarding down the board walk to go exchange our u.s dollars for pesos. it was my first time long boarding and let me just say...the way there was really long and rough for me, but on the way back it was so so so much better because i got the hang of it and we were going a lot faster. i really actually like it now. so we came back to the base, had a little down time and then had dinner. after i watched the sunset from the top floor of the base, it was truely breath taking! and since then we've just been hanging out, talking, I've been trying to finish this blog so i can go to bed cause i have to get up early...so yeah, i'm going to bed! good night!
