Wow I can hardly believe that I've been here for two and a half months! So much has happened and all of it has been so good! A few weeks ago we had a speaker, Troy Sherman who was really incredible! He is the best speaker I have ever encountered, he challenged everything I thought I knew about anything in the best way possible. He spoke on relationships, and we were all thinking it would be about dating but he mainly spoke on our relationship with God and what our Love should be like if we really love him, if we are doing our jobs as Christians and being as Christ like as possible. I have never taken so many notes, looked forward to every class, and had a speaker who kept my attention every second during our two hour classes, which could have been longer and no one would have mind. I could go on and on about Troy and all that he said but most importantly he changed my life. Now I am going to use the gifts God has given me, stop being lazy and learn about what is going on in the world and do my very best to change it! You may think that it is impossible to change the world, I say that is just the pathetic excuse we give ourselves because we don't actually care about what is happening. We don't like to think of all the people dying everyday from unclean water, or the millions of people every year that become slaves. What? SLAVES? Yes sadly it's not abolished, and it is worse than ever before. Human Trafficking is a $72 billion industry, the second largest in the world. You say, "How can this be?" let me ask you this, who do you think harvested those coffee beans that you made into such a delicious drink this morning? Who are those girls on the many thousands of pornography sites on the internet? By looking at porn you are helping fuel the sex slave industry whether you realize it or not, it is making the demand go up so they have to supply you don't they? Where do you think that diamond you are wearing comes from? Have you ever heard of blood diamond? Look it up on the high speed internet you have. Guys, these are just a couple of the things that are being produced by Trafficked humans. My last question to you regarding this is, what are you going to do about it, nothing? If the world really cared there wouldn't be millions of slaves.
There are so many ideas racing around inside of me on what I can do about this, I can't do them all at once but I just need to choose one, with one is where it all starts.
Yesterday our DTS broke into groups for our weekly intercession. Each outreach team divided in two groups for about an hour. God really spoke to us and gave us visions on what we are to do in South Africa. Both of the groups got the word to possibly dig a well or provide some kind of clean water source for these people. Other people started to get visions on where we should go, actual pictures of hospitals and orphanages. There is no doubt God wants us to go to South Africa. We still need money though, we are suppose to have it in by friday at 5:00pm. I personally need about $1200 more and the rest of my team needs about $30,000 total. This may seem like a lot but every year God has always provided and this time we have even more Faith! The names of the people who still need money are Megan, Caleb, Rachael, Esteban, Nestor, Javier, Zane, Brenda, Steven, Jeanette, and Antonio. Please pray about these names and if someone sticks out to you, God may be laying it on your heart to give to them. If so send the money to YWAM El Paso, The accounting department, 4444 Edgar park Ave., El Paso TX 79904. mention who the money is for and that it is for the Mazatlan, Mexico base. If you specify it's for the outreach fees you can get a Tax right off. Thanks, I pray that you will have the courage to be obedient to God.
I want to thank all of you who have been supporting me through prayer or finances, or both! You are a blessing! Love you all!
