Mazatlan outreach

So for the last week or so my DTS has been in Colonia Sinaloa, which is one of the many poor Mexican communities. Me and my team went without showers or any running water the whole time and only one "bathroom" for all of us. This was a real growing time but it was incredibly good. We did a lot of evangelism and spent time building relationship with the people in the nearby communities. I really think we planted a lot of seeds in peoples hearts but we did get a few salvations 10 people I'm sure of. Some friends and I met the president of the Colonia and found out that she's a Christian, but she didn't have a bible so we gave her one and she was so excited about it, we saw her a couple days later and she had already read a lot of scripture with her son! It was really encouraging to find out that the president and her closest friends are all Christians! I really believe that a lot of change is beginning to happen in that community and it's awesome that their leader is a believer! I'm excited to go back, tomorrow we are building a house in that neighborhood so I may get to see some of my new friends!

So just to address the whole earthquake in Chile thing, we did get a Tsunami warning because we are right on the coast, so our base evacuated and went to the nearest mountain. We were only up there for a few hours and we had some great time in prayer and worship, and then when the time came of when the Tsunami was supposed to hit, nothing happened. But we have really been praying for Chile, especially the people we know there.
Well, I will try to be better about updating y'all but sometimes the life of a missionary is quite busy. I love you guys! Keep praying!
